Mission Statement

To provide clothing -

one of our most basic human needs-

to women in transition and to

victims of domestic abuse

and their families

By providing appropriate

professional, career and casual

attire for the roles women play,

we impact their self esteem

and help them to become

gainfully employed. This

equates into a higher standard

of living for women

About Fawn Dolan - Executive Director

Fawn has written numerous magazine articles pertaining to parenting. She was also a columnist for the Albuquerque Tribune, writing about fun learning activities parents could do with their children, parenting issues and the positive aspects of human nature by sharing examples of acts of kindness performed daily. She is mother of two, ages 21 & 17.

Fawn’s Involvement:

PARENTCRAFT Coordinator for Families & Children's Services, Inc. (Outcomes)

Middle School Teacher working with at-risk adolescents

Master Degree-UNM/ Secondary & Adult Teacher Ed

Instrumental in creating a successful BLUE RIBBON CAMPAIGN focusing on child abuse prevention

Involved in teenage pregnancy prevention campaigns

Conducted teacher training sessions at over 100 sites helping teachers make learning more relevant and hands-on for grades K-12

Conducted over 500 Parent Education classes throughout the state including HOMEWORK WITHOUT TEARS, "Positive Discipline Techniques" and "Enhancing Your Child's Self-esteem"

Created BOUND FOR SUCCESS Self-esteem Camps for preadolescents - adolescents.

Created opportunities at over 75 school sites for parents to get involved in their child's education from pre kindergarten to high school

Sponsored the National Random Acts of Kindness Week three consecutive years garnering national recognition for her efforts

Assisted Joy Junction, a center for homeless families, in their endeavors to plant trees, a garden and obtain financial support from the community

Presented information focusing on the emotional, physical and intellectual development of children on both radio and television

Appointed to the Mayor's Council on Gang Violence Prevention

Collaborated and cooperated with a multitude of community agencies in order to better meet the needs of families
